An\u00e1lia Gomes, que esteve presente, relata-nos aqui a jornada ao mesmo tempo que nos revela os antecedentes deste tipo de publica\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a obra de Jos\u00e9 Afonso. Leitura de poemas por Maria do C\u00e9u Guerra e Lu\u00eds Lima Barreto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;JOS\u00c9 AFONSO &#8211; OBRA PO\u00c9TICA&#8221; re\u00fane toda a poesia de Jos\u00e9 Afonso, desde o in\u00edcio dos anos 50 at\u00e9 1985, quer tenha sido musicada ou n\u00e3o, incluindo alguns poemas in\u00e9ditos que haviam sido publicados em jornais e revistas. Constata-se que os poemas n\u00e3o musicados s\u00e3o mais de 50% da totalidade de toda a sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o po\u00e9tica. O t\u00edtulo, bem escolhido, evidencia a qualidade da poesia de Jos\u00e9 Afonso. De salientar que a colect\u00e2nea anterior tinha o t\u00edtulo &#8220;Jos\u00e9 Afonso &#8211; Textos e Can\u00e7\u00f5es&#8221;, o qual vinha j\u00e1 do tempo de Jos\u00e9 Afonso (edi\u00e7\u00e3o de 1975, coord. de Jos\u00e9 Viale Moutinho), colocando em evid\u00eancia a poesia cantada e incluindo alguns textos em prosa, a que deu o t\u00edtulo de &#8220;Prosemas&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Afonso a ser, portanto, finalmente reconhecido como um grande Poeta do s\u00e9c. XX, n\u00e3o &#8220;apenas&#8221; como cantautor. Jorge Abeg\u00e3o justificou a diferente sequ\u00eancia dos poemas, que segue agora a ordem cronol\u00f3gica, conforme vontade de Jos\u00e9 Afonso nas primeiras edi\u00e7\u00f5es, embora nem todos os poemas tenham indica\u00e7\u00e3o de data porque o pr\u00f3prio Zeca n\u00e3o os tinha datado. Os poemas que s\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m letras de can\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o identificados como tal, mas entremeados de outros poemas escritos na mesma fase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duas \u00e9pocas emergem como especialmente produtivas poeticamente falando: em 1973, quando da pris\u00e3o em Caxias, incluindo v\u00e1rias can\u00e7\u00f5es do \u00e1lbum &#8220;Venham mais cinco&#8221;, mas tamb\u00e9m v\u00e1rios outros poemas n\u00e3o musicados: seria a escrita um escape para Jos\u00e9 Afonso, privado da sua liberdade? O outro momento corresponde a um per\u00edodo marcado pela doen\u00e7a entretanto diagnosticada: 1981-1982.
